Most people take cars for granted. But, what happens when you lose your car and don’t have the credit you need for another one? Who takes the kids to school? How do you get to work on time? When public transportation isn’t convenient, lives can unravel pretty quickly.

 

Ways to Work provides hard-working, low-income families with small, low-interest loans to purchase a quality used car or make car repairs. This impacts families in profound ways that will hopefully carry on for generations, breaking the cycle of poverty some of these families find themselves in.

 

Our mission was to develop a strategy to launch WTW’s program on a bigger national stage. We are happy to report that Ways to Work was awarded a $1.5 million Community Development Financial Institution grant from the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
